I agree with gatekeeper. What were you thinking, Coach Townsend? What kind of message does that send to the players? The fans? Your family? Wonder what team chaplain Wayne Simien thought of that?
You don't deserve to be fired over it, but you should darn sure apologize for an egregious misstep that has embarrassed many and created fodder for our rivals.

It isn't a movie, it's real life, and an assistant coach on the #1 (or #2) collegiate team in the country has a certain modicum of behavior to uphold. In this case, he failed miserably. If KSU and Misery fans get a hold of this, look out!

Slow news day? It is crap like this that allows politicians to get away with what they do! Red herring news journalism for the masses! Does this even matter? Apologies for being nice? Get a grip children. Surely there is something on Entertainment Tonight that we can all get upset about. What's the big deal? We can all watch porn, but get upset when a former KU student receives tickets? I'd rather watch a game with a crimson and blue porn star any day, than be caught dead with someone who considers themselves religious and continually rips others who don't succumb to their ideology.
