Treasure #3 FOUND - Pirate Sets a Record!
AVAST!! AHOY!! YAR!! and SHIVER ME TIMBERS!!
Emma Solves Riddle In Less Than 3 Hours!
Brother Donovan Guards the Rear
Emma and her Father, Andrew, had driven by Dad Perry Park (North and West) many times before. So it was no surprise when the clues fell so quickly into place for them. They found the treasure less than 3 hours after the riddle was posted. Unfortunately, Emma's brother, Donovan, wasn't so optimistic about finding the treasure, so he stayed at the playground while the other two followed the clues.
Of course, Donovan was more than a bit upset when he learned Emma had found the treasure and had it all to herself. Maybe she'll share the spoils with her brother? Then again... maybe not. After all, she's living the code of a pirate on the hunt.
Here's the riddle she had to solve about Putnam's Salt Shaker:
Treasure Hunt # 3 - Putnam's Salt Shaker
And here's how she did it:
Brothers who seem as one are blessed, one in the north and one in the west (Two areas to Dad Perry Park. It was in the North Park)
as 12 are gathered to feed the rest (12 picnic tables in the North Shelter)
near the last a way is clear (A path to the right of the last table)
to the one more traveled veer (The path to the right is more worn)
a rock to the right will bring you cheer (The shaker was under leaves next to the rock)
Join me in congratulating pirate Emma!
NOTE: We'll take a break for the 4th and return to the hunts the following weekend.
I wish everyone a safe and relaxing holiday weekend.

Hi schula,
I try for the weekends to post hunts during summer, usually ending by Labor Day. I was thinking of skipping this summer because of our busy family schedule, but anagram suggested I start them again. (He's persuasive, that anagram.)
Glad I did. It's still a lot of fun to hear from families spending time together in the spirit of the hunt. And while no one condones modern-day piracy, it is fun to sound off like a pirate of the Halloween variety. Yar!
We’ll skip next weekend, but then post another hunt the following weekend.
