Upon waking this morning, I found that excerpts from Former Bush Administration Press Secretary Scott McClellan's book, "What Happened: Inside the Bush White House and Washington's Culture of Deception," had been leaked to the media.http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0508/10649.htmlWith a relationship to the President that dates back nearly ten years, I find it intriguing that the Bush administration, through mouthpiece Karl Rove, is now saying that McClellan sounds like a "left-wing blogger."Frankly, if the truth has become associated with "left-wing bloggers," then sign me up. In fact, I think it would become known as a badge of honor.I'm posting this blog today mainly to invite some of the Bush apologists to come and rip McClellan apart. It will be curious to see what Rush, Hannity, O'Reilly, the RNSC and NRCC, RedState, Free Republic, and etc. have to say without addressing the content of this intimate portrait of the most disastrous President to ever hold the office.

Uhhh...McClellan's book excerpts and the Administration's response, genius. It isn't that hard, is it? Smaller words?

Oooops...forgot the Weekly Standard. But, but, but, he did ___!Care to address content, or is that your answer for the day?

I won't be buying the book. Sounds like he is making some sensational claims to try to sell the book rather than providing a serious biography. All government statements are propaganda. Government propaganda typically contains some facts and some exaggerations. Political actors in a conflict situation often develop an exaggerated view of the opposition particularly in international conflicts. This happened in the world wars and in our own Civil War.

I shall hold my tongue on apologizing for President Bush and his team......he was elected and he has served and soon THEY will be OUT.My concern now is .....in November we will be electing a new TEAM......we think we know the candidates pretty well .....but we know very little about those who will rule with the new President. Are there "rove-ishes" within each of these teams? The Bush team is old news......we need more info on future players.

And there you go...making my point that all you were capable of is bashing McClellan.Poorboy set on selling books? We have a winner!Nevermind that essentially every press secretary in recent White House history has written a book. How about close personal advisor and aide to the President? I think that lends some credibility to what he says. But go ahead, just shout what Rush tells you to shout! It makes you look like such an amazing intellectual species.

Whatever has been done to the republicans they have done themselvs. But all is good, a year from now Obama will be in charge, gas will be $0.75/gal, everyone will have health insurance, and the world will love us. I can't wait.

Why don't you tell me what the content is so we'll all know.

Hearsay is content to liberals isn't it? What about two witnesses or more for meaningful evidence? You say he has photos or video of the presumed incidents? Edify us paperboy with what content is that isn't crap or rank speculation from a poorboy set on selling books, by hook or crook.

Sorry george, but the current administration messed everything up so badly that President Obama won't be able to fix everything in just one year. It will take longer than that. snap, I believe Senator Obama goes by his first name, not just the initial. And if you are going to call Senator Obama by his middle name, then lets be fair and make sure we recognize Senator McCain's by his middle name too: John "George W. Bush" McCain, the 3rd (term).

I agree ostrich--unfortunately, far too often, as can be easily referenced, we don't know exactly what we will get from our elected leader. I'm not sure how we address that--my initial response would be to make it easier for the people to remove an official mid-term, but after seeing what a fanatic group of Kansans engineered in activating a grand jury, I think twice about giving such means directly to the people.

Yes, Bush "veered TERRIBLY OFF course" -- Scott McClellan's own words --, and the country is NOW paying the TERRIBLE prize for it. SHAMEFUL.

Right George, but this speaks volumes about what he has done to Republicans:http://thehill.com/campaign-2008/early-polls-suggest-dems-can-take-many-gop-senate-seats-2008-05-27.html

Socialist Global Democrat and anti-American billionaire George Soros is behind the McClellan book. Did he really get paid a $5,000,000 USD advance? Big advances are always political contributions and the books generally never sell well. The Soros-McClellan Connectionhttp://littlegreenfootballs.com/article/30118_The_Soros-McClellan_Hey, smart voters have all figured out by now that Republicans are the stupid party and Democrats the evil party. When they get together and compromise on an important issue the result is both evil and stupid!
