Fall may officially be upon us but I Heart Local Music is giving us an opportunity to enjoy summer sunshine year-round with its second annual swimsuit calendar and 12 months of beautifully photographed local musicians.

Each page of the calendar features members of bands — such as Middle Twin, Josh Berwanger Band, Psychic Heat and The Noise FM — from the Lawrence and Kansas City areas donning amusing beachwear and clothing mostly from Wild Man Vintage. All photos were taken by Fally Afani, editor of I Heart Local Music.

Some proceeds from calendar sales will go to the Midwest Music Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting musicians, whether it’s educating the community on the music created in the Midwest or helping musicians financially with health bills.

Pick up a calendar at Love Garden, 822 Massachusetts St., Cindy’s Simple Life, 16 E. Eighth St., or Mass Street Music, 1347 Massachusetts St., and ogle away. It’s for the good of music.
