If you’re a true Lauryn Hill fan, you remember the exact moment you got your hands on her debut solo album “Miseducation of Lauryn Hill” in 1998. And how the tears streamed down your face as the beauty of her heart and soul poured out of the lyrical genius and into your life that would never be the same again. (Just me?)

The ex-Fugees hip hop star sold eight million copies of that album and won five Grammy awards, and then performed for a sold-out crowd at The Midland in Kansas City a few days later. After more than a decade, Hill is coming back to Kansas City on June 16 — this time at Uptown Theatre –and with her will come a sea of women who bow down at her fierce poetry on sexual politics, race, and spirituality. Do that thing, Ms. Hill.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, March 28, at 10 a.m.

Also, if you don’t know this song because you haven’t watched the entire MTV Unplugged acoustic set of Lauryn Hill, don’t talk to me.
