Pfc. Bowe R. Bergdahl

This is the solider, who was captured by the Taliban and they released a video statement over the weekend. In the video PFC Bergdahl is said to be afraid, and from the video, I can see how this would be true. Given the history of the Taliban, I fear there is much more to come for the Private, things that would make many of us crumble at the thought. I ask, that on this day, and the days to come, that we all remember PFC Bergdahl, and say a prayer for peace and strength for him and his family. This isn't about the left, or the right, but rather a real human being, an American, who is under the thumb of our greatest enemy. PFC is 23 years old, most of us have kids that age, and I have one who is in the Army, and I pray I never have to say these prayers for her. So imagine if you will, how you would feel if this were your son, or brother, or father, or cousin. Regardless of your feelings on the war, this doesn't seem like the right time to voice those opinions, but rather it's t ime that we, as a country, come together in thought and prayer and say to the world, that we are united. That all of us are united, democrats, republicans, christians, athiests, black, white, gay or straight.....it is our time to keep this solider, and all soliders on our closest thoughts and prayers.

I don't know what I would do if I were in such a situation. I know he is terrified and I can only pray that somehow he is released. We should have a plan to rescue our people once they are taken prisoner. They need to know that there is someone out there helping in a way that will save them.
