Police Scanner Action for 1/3/11
The night of listening to the radio started with a missing child who, thank goodness, was found. As the evening progressed the police dealt with the usual variety of domestics, false alarms, unconscious subjects and falls. One call was to The Outhouse, for a fall...and then I heard she was OK, just hurt her back. Makes you wonder who fell from where? The real excitement of the night came just in time for me, as I was perilously close to nodding off. A call came in from the IHOP for a stolen car. Yeah, I know, ho hum...but then they mentioned a "carhart jacket". I thought to myself "no way, not this ya-hoo again" ...referring to the stolen vehicle that was recovered on December 30. The police identified the subject by this Carhart jacket he left in the car. The police performed a man-hunt with the assistance of a K-9 unit. Reports indicate the suspect was listening to the police radio during this manhunt, but he still managed to get himself caught. But back to the IHOP call tonight...turns out, yes, it is the same subject...the Carhart Burglar. The police know who he is and are searching his regular haunts. I know they will eventually catch up to him. Maybe next Christmas someone needs to get him a new jacket. Or a set of orange jumpsuits.
