November 3rd Early Morning Law Enforcement & Fire Medical wrap up
Lawrence Police on five disturbances this morning. One of those, in the 900 block of Massachusetts Street at 2:02, reportedly involved two subjects with baseball bats. Five police officers responded to the area and did not report locating anyone fighting, arguing, or carrying baseball bats.
At 2:32, Police were called to a domestic disturbance in the 3100 block of Ousdahl Road. One person was arrested. That person now faces charges of Domestic Battery and Criminal Damage to Property. No injuries were reported.
At 2:33, Police and Fire Medical crews were to a different apartment in the 3100 block of Ousdahl Road after a subject reportedly fell from a third level balcony to the ground. Medics reported the man's injuries to be critical and requested dispatchers order a LifeStar helicopter be ordered. LifeStar responded and landed in the Home Depot parking lot, 1900 block of W 31st Street. The man, said to be in his early 20's, was transported to the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. Initial reports indicated that the fall was accidental in nature, and occurred after the man had been consuming alcohol.
Shortly after 3 a.m., Police received information on a theft of wheels from a vehicle which was parked in the 1300 block of Tennessee Street. The vehicle's owner reported that he believed he knew who was responsible for the theft. No word whether or not his theory was correct or if the property has been recovered this morning.

October 2nd Early Morning Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up
After very quiet Sunday and Monday morning's, there was a little bit more activity this morning.
Police responded on a domestic disturbance in the 700 block of Arizona Street at 2:44. Just before 3 o'clock, Police were requesting at supervisor respond to the scene after one of the officers at the scene was battered. It was unclear what exactly had occurred but, one female was eventually taken into police custody. As of this report, she remains in the Douglas County Jail, where she is being held without bail. She faces charges of Domestic Battery, Aggravated Battery, and Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer. No injuries were reported.
Officers in Lawrence also responded on domestic disturbance in the 2900 block of University Drive. No arrests or injuries were reported.
