Power restored to more than 1700 Westar customers this morning

According to Westar Energy’s website, power has been restored to more than 1700 Douglas County customers who were without service for a time early Monday.
Around midnight, the website showed just under 500 outages. By 12:40 a.m. that number had jumped to more than 1700. The bulk of the outages were in North Lawrence.
Power was fully restored to all Douglas County customers before 4 a.m..
There was no word on what caused the outages.
