September 9th Early Morning Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

Things in Lawrence were fairly calm after 2 a.m. Sunday.

Police were called to out on three disturbances and one noise complaint.

At 2:21, Firefighters responded to an address in the 3300 block of W 8th Street for subjects grilling on a deck. The caller reported sparks from the grill were falling onto the building’s siding below the deck and was concerned this would spark a fire. Firefighters reported the situation to be under control within five minutes of arriving on scene.

At 4:05, Police were called to the 1300 block of Kentucky on reports of a subject who appeared to be attempting to breaking into a vehicle. It did not sound as though the subject was able to get inside the vehicle. That subject also fled from the scene before Police were called.

None of this morning’s activity was reported to have involved any serious injuries.
