September 7th Early Morning Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

Lawrence Police responded on six disturbances this morning, two of those were reported to be domestic related.

At 4:14 a.m., Police were called to check on a possible attempted aggravated burglary at an apartment in the 5000 block of W 6th Street. The caller reported that she heard what she believed to be someone attempting to open her bedroom window, and then a few minutes later the same sounds coming from a living room window. There was no description of any suspect and after checking the area, Police did not report locating anyone in the area.

At 5:35 a.m., Police were called to a business in the 400 block of W 23rd Street where a man had reportedly exposed himself to a customer in the parking lot. The man was last seen running behind several dumpsters. Police searched the area for the man, as of this report, no arrests have been recorded related to the incident.

At 6:47 a.m., Police were called to an address in the 1300 block of W 24th Street on what was reported to be the attempted theft of a vehicle. The caller reported seeing three subjects inside her truck in the parking lot and believed they were attempting to start the truck. The subjects, all described as men, were unable to start the vehicle and fled in a silver vehicle. Police searched the area and have not located anyone associated with what is being classified as a vehicle burglary. Shortly after 8 a.m., the victim called Police again, reporting they believed they had spotted the silver vehicle the suspects were last seen getting into. Police continue to investigate currently.
