September 3rd Early Morning Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical

After busy Saturday and Sunday mornings, I thought there might be quite a bit of activity this morning, being Labor Day. I was wrong, it was a pretty normal Monday morning.

Police conducted three vehicle stops in Lawrence, one of which resulted in an OUI related arrest just before 2 a.m.. Eudora Police also recorded an OUI related arrest shortly before 3 a.m..

Officers in Lawrence responded on two disturbances this morning. No serious injures were reported with either disturbance.

Fire/Medical was called to an address in the 2500 block of Redbud Lane for a man in his 40’s who was electrocuted while trying to “fix the wiring in an electrical outlet.” Medics did not report any serious injuries, the man was transported to LMH for further treatment.

Police were called to the 2400 block of Redbud Lane for a report of gunshots heard in the area. Three officers checked the area and did not report finding anything out of the ordinary.
