October 2nd Early Morning Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

After very quiet Sunday and Monday morning’s, there was a little bit more activity this morning.

Police responded on a domestic disturbance in the 700 block of Arizona Street at 2:44. Just before 3 o’clock, Police were requesting at supervisor respond to the scene after one of the officers at the scene was battered. It was unclear what exactly had occurred but, one female was eventually taken into police custody. As of this report, she remains in the Douglas County Jail, where she is being held without bail. She faces charges of Domestic Battery, Aggravated Battery, and Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer. No injuries were reported.

Officers in Lawrence also responded on domestic disturbance in the 2900 block of University Drive. No arrests or injuries were reported.
