May 1st Early Morning Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

Police in Lawrence responded on one disturbance this morning, after 2 a.m.. No serious injuries or arrests were reported.

Officers responded on at least three non-injury accidents this morning. The first was reported in the 1700 block of W 24th Street, shortly before 4 a.m.. Both of the others were said to be near the intersection of 23rd and Haskell, around 7 a.m..

Police were called on a possible abandoned animal at an apartment in the 2500 block of Redbud Lane at 4:10 a.m.. The caller reported that the resident had moved out and left behind a dog. Officers checked and confirmed that there was a dog still inside. Later in the morning Animal Control responded to the same address and reported that a person told them that the resident would be back later in the day for the dog.

Officers conducted several business checks in the 1500 & 1800 blocks of E 23rd Street and received information on a burglary on Aldrich Street.
