March 31st Early Morning Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

At 2:03 a.m., Lawrence Police were called to the area of 19th and Haskell Avenue on reports of an armed disturbance. A caller was reporting a male in an older model car who was threatening people and talking about having a gun. Officers responded to the area and were not able to locate anyone matching the given description.

Just a few minutes later, around 2:10 a.m., Police were called to a reported physical disturbance in the 900 block of Rhode Island. The caller reported at least six subjects fighting in a nearby alley. Five officers responded and were able to quickly get things back under control with the subjects leaving the area.

Officers responded on a total of four disturbances this morning. None were reported to have involved any serious injuries.

KUPD reported a DUI related arrest in the 1000 block of Indiana just before 3 a.m..
