June 2nd Early Morning Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

Police conducted five vehicle stops this morning, two resulting in OUI related arrests.

Officers also made an arrest for Interference with the Duties of an Officer and Disorderly Conduct on a disturbance call in the 1200 block of Louisiana Street at 2:15 a.m..

Eudora Police reported spotting a vehicle eastbound on K-10 in excess of 100 miles per hour, around 3 a.m.. Officers were able to catch up with that vehicle just inside of Johnson County. No arrests were reported related to the stop.

Lawrence Police responded on a call of a noise complaint around 3:55 a.m.. Officers arrived to find a male subject who was “standing on a balcony yelling at the top of his lungs.” At least five Officers were involved on the call and the man was eventually taken into custody. He has been booked into the Douglas County Jail where he faces charges of Criminal Threat, Obstruction of the Legal Process, and Disorderly Conduct. No injuries were reported.
