June 14th Early Morning Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

Lawrence Police reported a disturbance in the 1000 block of Massachusetts Street at 2:10 a.m.. One person was said to possibly be armed with a knife. No injuries or arrests were reported. While Police were on scene, dispatchers received a report of a disturbance in the 900 block of Massachusetts Street, again possibly involving a subject with a knife. That caller told dispatchers that there was already an officer on scene and “they are all shaking hands now”. Officers determined that the caller was confused and witnessed the same disturbance that Police were already on the scene of.

At 2:40 a.m., Police were called to investigate a domestic disturbance. No serious injuries were reported. One man was arrested and faces charges for Obstruction of the Legal Process, Battery, and Possession.

Officers responded on a total of three disturbances.

Shortly before 3 a.m., Officers checked on a report of juveniles with fireworks in the 1000 block of Wildwood Drive. Three officers checked the area and were unable to locate the juveniles.
