June 10th early Morning Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

Lawrence Police conducted seven vehicle stops this morning, two resulting in arrests. The first of the arrests was for a warrant in another county, and the second was an OUI related arrest.

Just before 2:20 a.m., a Lawrence Police Officer reported a clocking a white pickup truck at 88 miles per hour, southbound on Iowa Street from 23rd Street, which the Officer said is a 45 miles per hour zone. The Officer attempted to catch up with the vehicle but, quickly learned that he was traveling too fast. That truck was last seen traveling southbound on Highway 59 from the South Lawrence Trafficway.

Police were called out on two disturbances, five noise complaints and two trespassing complaints. None of this morning’s activity was reported to have involved the use of any weapons or resulted in any serious injuries.
