July 7th Early Morning Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

Lawrence Police conducted nine vehicle stops this morning, one resulting in an OUI related arrest.

Officers were also kept busy with six fireworks complaints, five of which occurred within 30 minutes of each other.

Police responded on at least three disturbances as well.

None of this morning’s activity was reported to have involved any serious injuries.

The National Weather Service in Topeka also extended the Heat Advisory until 9 p.m. tonight. More information on this extended time can be found here from the National Weather Service.
