February 5th Early Morning Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

Things kept pretty quiet in Douglas County this morning.

In Lawrence, Police conducted extensive vehicle stops and parking violations. Two DUI arrests were made this morning in Douglas County.

Officers also responded on four disturbances, one non injury accident, and three medical emergencies with LDCFM.

Most of this morning’s issues with slick roads seem to be confined to the highways and interstates. The main problems seem to be entrance/exit ramps along with overpasses.

Around 5 a.m., Leavenworth County officials responded on an accident near mile marker 215 on the Turnpike. Minor injuries were reported.

If you are heading towards Johnson County this morning, again, watch out for the entrance/exit ramps and overpasses. Numerous accidents reported in the Kansas City area, no serious injuries have been reported and street crews are back out on the roadways treating the problem spots.
