August 25th Early Morning Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

Police responded on six disturbances after 2 a.m.. Two of those were reported to have involved subjects with weapons, the first with a baseball bat, the second reportedly displayed a knife. Three people were arrested related to disturbances. Those subjects were all involved in separate disturbances. One of them faces charges of Battery and Aggravated Assault, another faces several charges including Battery of a Law Enforcement Officer, and the third faces a Battery charge. None of the disturbances were said to have resulted in any serious injuries.

Officers also made two OUI related arrests and one for marijuana related offenses.

As of 2:15 a.m., Westar Energy reported 1,378 customers without electricity. Most of those outages were across several neighborhoods along Peterson Road, west of McDonald Drive. All of those outages were restored by 6:30 a.m.. There was no word on a cause for the outage.
