April 25th Early Morning Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

Lawrence Police responded to a report of a non-injury accident at 34th & Iowa shortly after 12:20 a.m.. Officers requested LDCFM to respond non emergency a short time later for two people. Medics arrived and reported two minor injuries. Medics did not transport anyone from that scene however, LPD did transport someone to LMH.

Police responded on numerous noise complaints, everything from slamming doors to outdoor parties with guitars and drums playing.

Only one disturbance reported this morning, it was said to be domestic related. Officers arrested one person for Domestic Battery and Criminal Damage to Property. No serious injuries were reported.

Just before 4 a.m., Douglas County Deputies were called to LMH to receive information on an injury accident involving a motorcycle. The accident was said to have occurred on a county road, possibly near Midland Junction. It was unclear who transported the victim to the hospital. The victim, said to be a female in her mid 30’s, was transported by LifeStar helicopter to the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. Her condition sounded to be extremely serious. I am sure as new details become available this morning, the Lawrence Journal-World will have a full story on the accident.

Just before 5 a.m., LPD received information on threats related to LMH. Officers responded to the hospital and as of this report there have not been any arrests reported.

At 6:08 a.m., County Deputies and Baldwin City officers were called to an address in the 1800 block of N 100 Road on a report of a stabbing. The calling party, who was also the victim, reported that she was stabbed by another female. Law Enforcement arrived on scene a short time later and after detaining the alleged suspect, reported that the injuries were minor. As of this report, Medics remain on scene assessing the victim’s injuries.
