September 3rd Overnight Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

Starting just after 10 p.m. and lasting until a few minutes after 1 a.m. Police received information on about 20 alcohol violations while conducting bar checks throughout Lawrence.

Police responded on four vehicle accidents overnight. One required a response from Medics. There was one minor injury involved with the accident which occurred just before midnight in the 1000 block of Tennessee Street.

After 1:30 a.m. KUPD had a male subject run on foot from them. KU was not sure why the subject chose to run when approached by an officer, public safety did not chase after the subject. They did have a description of the man and Lawrence Police caught up with him in the 400 block of W 14th Street at about 1:45 a.m. KUPD was called to come and speak with the man. It sounded like he was taken into custody by LPD, the reason behind the arrest was not clear.

Lawrence Police were also faced with the always abundant noise complaints and disturbances.

Not a whole lot worth reporting for a Friday night.
