September 24th Overnight Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

Most of the activity was fairly normal for Friday night/Saturday mornings; noise complaints, vehicle stops, disturbances and a few DUI arrests, at least one related to a non injury accident. Police also received information on at least three alcohol violations.

Lawrence Police were called to investigate a number of non injury accidents overnight. The first was reported in the 2200 block of Iowa Street just after 10:15 p.m. The 2400 block of Iowa just before midnight, 1600 block of Vermont shortly before 2 a.m. 2200 block of Iowa Street at 2:10 a.m and the last one in the 1500 block of Barker Road just after 4:30 a.m.

County Deputies along with a LDCFM Medic unit and Lecompton Fire, investigated an injury accident in the 700 block of North 1800 Road just after 1:30 a.m. It was reported that a vehicle had struck a mailbox, seriously injuring one occupant.

None of the overnight activity, that I heard, involved the use of weapons. Aside from the medical related calls and the injury accident, already mentioned, no serious injuries were reported.
