September 22nd Overnight Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

A little bit more activity in Lawrence last night compared to the last few.

Police were back responding on noise complaints all night, most recently just before 4 a.m. for loud music and people yelling.

There was a report of criminal damage in the 1100 block of Pennsylvania Street just before 1 a.m.

A non injury accident was reported in the 2200 block of Barker Avenue a few minutes before 2:30 a.m.

Several disturbances were investigated as well, many of which were domestic related.

None of the overnight activity, that I heard, involved the use of weapons and no serious injuries were reported.

KDOT announced yesterday that they are suspending the work on K-10 for an undetermined amount of time. More information.

For those that follow Operation 100 News (@Operation100) on Twitter. I have cut back my hours of posting updates. Previously I was active just over 60 hours a week. That number has been cut back to 45 hours a week. More information on my decision to cut back hours can be found here.

The activity blogged here is only a sampling of some of the things that Douglas County Law Enforcement and Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical respond on. To see a complete list of Lawrence Police activity, the department has that available on their website along with several easy to use maps that show approximate locations for Police activity.
