September 21st Overnight Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

Very quiet again last night in Douglas County. Police performed a number of vehicle stops, one of which resulted in a drug related arrest.

A non injury accident was reported in the 400 block of Arkansas just after 1:30 a.m.

Police were called to the intersection of 25th Street and Redbud Lane on reports of gunshots heard in the area. The caller advised that she heard a total of three gunshots over the past 5 minutes. Police checked the area and were unable to locate anyone in the area.

None of the overnight activity, that I heard, involved the use of weapons and no serious injuries were reported.

KDOT announced yesterday that they are suspending the work on K-10 for an undetermined amount of time. More information.

For those that follow Operation 100 News (@Operation100) on Twitter. I have cut back my hours of posting updates. Previously I was active just over 60 hours a week. That number has been cut back to 45 hours a week. More information on my decision to cut back hours can be found here.

The activity blogged here is only a sampling of some of the things that Douglas County Law Enforcement and Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical respond on.
