October 6th Overnight Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

Police in Lawrence had a pretty uneventful night. Things have been pretty quiet the last few days.

Officers received information on a drug complaint in the 900 block of New Hampshire Street. I counted at least five officers involved at one point. Much of the radio traffic was on a secondary channel which I am not able to monitor.

LPD conducted a number of vehicle stops, a few bar checks and responded on several disturbances.

If you are heading into the Kansas City Metro area today or will be in an area patrolled by the Kansas Highway Patrol, expect to see a “stepped up” traffic enforcement presence today as Operation Impact patrols begin. More information is available here.

Kansas City, Missouri Police continues to search and ask for the public’s assistance in locating a believed kidnapped 10-month-old girl from her. It is believed that the child was abducted from her bedroom, late Monday night or early Tuesday morning. The Amber Alert has expired but, the child remains missing. More information and photo’s of the child can be found here.
