October 4th Overnight Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

A pretty quiet night in Douglas County.

Police responded on the usual vehicle stops, noise complaints and a few disturbances.

Officers cited an address in the 2500 block of Redbud Lane for a continuing noise complaint and another address in the 1000 block of Delaware was cited for an alcohol violation.

All in all not much to report this morning.

Yesterday morning, construction crews will be began their work on the $4.3 million project on K-10 from the east city limits of Lawrence to the Douglas/Johnson County Line. More information on this project can be found here.

The American Red Cross reminds the public that October is Fire Prevention month. Sadly, two young children have lost their lives due to fires in Kansas this month. The first was in Kansas City on Saturday morning and the second was Saturday night in Overland Park. More information on the Overland Park fire can be found here.

The activity blogged here is only a sampling of some of the things that Douglas County Law Enforcement and Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical respond on. To see a complete list of Lawrence Police activity, the department has that available on their website along with several easy to use maps that show approximate locations for Police activity.
