October 24th Overnight Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

A pretty average early Monday morning, activity wise.

Police in Lawrence performed a number of vehicle stops, performed a few address checks, along with a few disturbances. One of the disturbances sounded to be domestic related and I believe, resulted in an arrest.

Eudora fire crews were called out on a report of a structure fire in the 100 block of W 15th Street just after 5 a.m.. The caller was reportedly a neighbor and reported flames showing from the garage. Law Enforcement arrived and stated that there was “smoke visible, no visible flames.” Fire crews arrived a short time later and it sounded like the incident was related to an overheated or malfunctioning light ballast in the garage. City of Eudora fire crews were assisted by crews from Eudora Township, Wakarusa Township and an LDCFM Medic unit from Lawrence. As of 6 a.m. it sounds like fire crews remain on scene completing some overhaul and investigating. No injuries have been reported.

None of the overnight activity, that I heard, resulted in any serious injuries or involved the use of weapons.
