November 5th Overnight Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

Police in Lawrence were kept active early this morning.

Disturbances, address/building checks, vehicle stops and several bar checks were conducted. A few of the bar checks resulted in alcohol violations. At least two of the vehicle stops resulted in DUI arrests.

Just after 5 a.m., Officers were called to the 2400 block of Ousdahl Road on a report of what the caller believed to be a gunshot. Three officers checked the area and determined the sound to be related to fireworks.

None of the overnight activity, that I heard, involved the use of weapons or resulted in any serious injuries.

The activity blogged here is only a sampling of some of the things that Douglas County Law Enforcement and Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical respond on. To see a complete list of Lawrence Police activity, the department has that available on their website along with several easy to use maps that show approximate locations for Police activity.

Some of the activity blogged above was reported as it was unfolding by Operation 100 News. Learn how to receive breaking news updates here.
