June 9th Overnight Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

A pretty routine overnight for Lawrence Police.

A DUI arrest was made just before 3 a.m. The male driver was stopped for after being spotted driving erratically. He was subsequently tested and determined to be intoxicated.

About 3:20 a.m. Lawrence Police received multiple reports on 911 from callers advising that they had heard gunshots in the area of Tomahawk Drive and Lawrence Avenue. One of the callers advised the shots came from Deerfield park or the area directly behind Deerfield Elementary School. Police responded to investigate and no one was found in the area.

Police responded on one noise complaint just after 3:30 a.m. Other calls in the early morning hours were mostly routine including a few disturbances and vehicle stops.

Just before 4 a.m. the online scanner that I use to monitor Douglas County Law Enforcement went down. I do monitor LDCFM with equipment, that I physically own and control, they were all quiet besides a few medical calls all the way up until 6 a.m.
