A pretty normal Sunday night in Douglas County overnight. Nothing out of the ordinary to report after 10 p.m. Mostly routine, every night calls of noise complaints, disturbances, car stops and a few alarms mixed in.
Just as I was starting to listen last night, about 9:55 p.m. Lawrence Police and Fire/Medical responded to a call of a man that had fallen from a third story balcony. The incident occurred at an apartment complex in the 3600 block of Clinton Parkway. The man was transported by LifeStar Medical Helicopter to KU Med Center in Kansas City. His injuries were described as serious at the time of transport. Check the LJW Story for updates as they become available.
