July 6th Overnight Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

A few more fireworks complaints overnight. Not nearly as many as the past few nights. I counted a total of five complaints called into Police. The first was just before 10 p.m. and the last was just a few minutes after midnight.

There was a severe thunderstorm watch issued for a the majority of northeast Kansas just before 5 p.m. Most of those storms fell apart or at least below severe levels before reaching Douglas County.

The rest of the night was back to mostly business as usual for Lawrence Police. There was a report gunshots heard in the 1700 block of Kent Terrace. Police did not located anyone related to that report.
