July 28th Overnight Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

Another pretty quiet night for Douglas County overnight.

The night started with a resident that requested Lawrence Police to check on a solicitor that had come to the door after 10 p.m. It sounded as though the caller told the subject that they were calling the Police. The solicitor had left the area prior to the arrival of Lawrence Police.

Lawrence Police conducted a number of car stops and made at least one DUI arrest overnight along with writing several citations for traffic offenses. Several parking violations were also cited overnight.

Douglas County Deputies responded on several business burglary alarms, all that I heard ended up being false alarms. Deputies also conducted a number of car stops and responded on a few minor disturbances throughout the county.
