December 20th Early Morning Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

Another quiet morning in Douglas County.

Officers responded with LDCFM on a car fire in the 500 block of E 12th Street in Lawrence just before 12:30a.m..

Police responded on a number of burglary alarms. All of the alarms that I heard were false.

Just before 2:20 a.m. Police received information on a possible drugs complaint.

Officers also conducted a few vehicle stops, responded on two noise complaints and two medical related calls with LDCFM.

At 4:15 a.m., this morning the National Weather Service office in Topeka cancelled the Winter Weather Advisory for Douglas county which was issued yesterday. More information can be found here.

On Friday a 19-year-old, from Olathe went missing from the KU Edwards Campus in Overland Park. Police say they are treating her disappearance as “Missing Persons case.” More information on this case can be found here by Operation 100 news or here from the Journal-World and Associated Press.
