As the number of students moving back into Lawrence increases so does the Police activity level through the overnight hours.

Many of the things that Police are handling in the overnight hours include increased presence on the streets. Conducting traffic and other vehicle stops seemed to be a big effort last night. There were a few periods where vehicle stops were one after another.

Disturbances have increased in frequency as well. Some are more along the lines of domestic issues while others seem to be between people that have simply had too much to drink.

Last night was very active. Not much that was beyond car stops and disturbances, with the occasional noise complaint thrown in.
