August 22nd Overnight Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

After several active overnights, last night was pretty quiet for this time of year.

The majority of Police activity was fairly routine for Douglas County. Vehicle stops, a few noise complaints and disturbances. Police did respond multiple units on several domestic disturbances, two of which involved weapons being nearby. However, the use of weapons was never threatened, more of a thing where the weapon was out where the calling party could see it, never threatened or even handled by the suspect from the sound of it.

Not really much worth reporting today.

The activity blogged here is only a sampling of some of the things that Douglas County Law Enforcement and Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical respond on. To see a complete list of Lawrence Police activity, the department has that available on their website along with several easy to use maps that show approximate locations for Police activity.
