New gun control soon to be passed....

after obama is re-elected, sometime tween november and january, a bill will be introduced to cross check ammunition bought and weapons owned.

lets say, you bought a gun on the black market. but you need ammo. its too cheap on the regular market, so why not go to a legal store.

so you only legally own a 22 caliber, but yet you are buying buckshot.

this now makes you guilty of buying ammunition for a firearm you do not LEGALLY own.

due to your records showing you do not own a deer rifle,

you must have bought said rifle on the black market.

which means you are a criminal.

thus ending in your arrest for partaking in crimes against america?

please discuss!

Suppose I legally own a .22 but buy ammunition for some other gun. Even if the government suspects I am in possession of a non registered .44, is that sufficient for them to get a search warrant to enter my home, looking for said .44? I'm not an attorney, but I would think it's not. So that's left with the government suspecting something with no real way to confirm it or to do anything about it. Now if at some future time I'm suspected of committing some crime, especially one that involved a .44, that information might make a search warrant easier to get.

Since registration laws vary from state to state, this seems unlikely. I don't believe there is a federal registration requirement, either.

gphawk89 5 years, 8 months ago

1 - There's no ID requirement to purchase ammo. (at least not yet)

2 - There's no registration requirement on firearms. (at least not yet)

3 - I can buy a gun from a private seller. That's not the black market. (at least not yet)

And all the not-quite-so-crazies are thinking that he'll make his gun law intentions public after (assuming) he's re-elected when his popularity ratings are of no consequence. I'm not sure how enacting new gun laws would be considered a "conspiracy" (which implies some kind of secret plot). If I have a feeling that Obama is soon going to try to restrict the purchase of assault rifles and high capacity magazines, and I go out and purchase those items accordingly (I do and I did), does that really make me a conspiracy theorist?

jaywalker 5 years, 8 months ago

Yeeeees! You are CORRECT sir! Epic fail. This blog has the same credibility as the one coming out "tween november and january" announcing Bigfoot to be our next ambassador to France.

"after obama is re-elected"

assuming obama is re-elected.

There. Fixed that for you.

Leslie Swearingen 5 years, 8 months ago

Oh, he is most definitely going to be re-elected and the do nothing congress will be a shameful passage in a history. The country does not need a business man. They need someone who can read the complicated bills that come across his desk. Someone who has people skills and realizes that it is not a one way proposition when leaders of different countries. He talks to all with respect without believing everything he hears.

KUinAussie 5 years, 7 months ago

the united states, needs a statesmen, for a leader.

not a puppet.

headdoctor 5 years, 8 months ago

Just more conspiracy and fear mongering jive. No sources cited, etc. I am assuming most of this is from the speculation of online ammunition sales, restrictions, and reporting as well as the UN Arms Trade Treaty that has yet to become reality. Politicians can always fib but neither Romney or Obama have warmed up to the idea so far and Obama has yet to take speculated action against guns that have been fear mongered all along during his administration. If anything there could be some attention given to assault rifles and high capacity clips.

"I am assuming most of this is from (out of the posterior regions of an individual poster)"

Topple 5 years, 8 months ago

What's to stop me from buying ammunition I see at good prices for a weapon I plan to purchase in the future?

Leslie Swearingen 5 years, 8 months ago

I have watched this movie three times and love it, but, I swear to God it has no plot, but, it is fun to watch it. I bet they had a great time filming it.

RoeDapple 5 years, 8 months ago

See, this is where I laugh at the whole mess. Even though Democratic administrations are thought of as the most anti-gun (and I agree), most gun restrictions have been passed during times when Republican administrations were in power.

Look it up.

Peacemaker452 5 years, 8 months ago

Could you please clarify that statement.

From what I can remember: National Firearms Act-Roosevelt

Gun Control Act of 1968-Johnson

Brady Law/Assault Weapons Ban-Clinton

Firearm Owners Protection Act (not)-Reagan

Crime Control Act of 1990-Bush

I would say that the Dems have given us more restrictions, not that the Pubs do much better.

Am I missing some?

tolawdjk 5 years, 8 months ago

I can never remember, does the foil go shiney side out or in? Is it supposed to reflect the waves from your head, or bounce the waves in your head back in?

What I -really- want to know is how can a govt. that apparently has -never- done anything successful in its entire existance somehow going to manage to pull off even -one- of these conspiracies? How can an entity know for incompetence and bungling going to manage to pull off something as coordinated as keeping track of who owns what gun and what ammunition it may or may not be able to fire?

How can people honestly and with a straight face, post this dribble as even the remotest possibility?

Government isn't motivated to accomplish anything positive, productive, beneficial to we the People. Government's wish is to gain more power for power's sake. It fails at education, at creating jobs, at providing for the general welfare. The people largely in control of our federal government aren't interested in such things beyond their utility as a ways and means to spend money we don't have. They will probably be inept at totalitarian rule as well. But in their efforts to accomplish it, nobody knows how many innocents and patriots will suffer incalculable tolls as the hands of our so-called Government.

What's most terrifying to me is that people actually take the incompetence and bungling on face value. Do you really believe that literally hundreds and hundreds of people, smart enough to get elected to legislative and executive branches, and appointed to the judicial branch, are THAT STUPID? So stupid they don't know the most basic of kindergarten level mathematics of spending more than you are paid, borrowing more than you can ever pay back?

The Republic is dying, and people have no clue what's going on. So sad.

This story has a lot of NRA stink about it; anyway why should people trust a Frenchie by the name of Wayne LaPierre,(NPR goon and mouthpiece) with anything to do American. You know how the French loathe the US. And we in return don't like them; I remember a few years back when the avid right-wingers refused to buy French Fries, not because any dietary concerns, but because the name. No wonder no one likes Paris Hilton.

Been a member of NRA for many years, likewise GOP, but both of the organizations have been co-opted by the lunacy of the religious right and the neocons who love to whip up conspiracy theories and war involvement. Leadership in this organization has always been shaky, Charlton Heston spent the last few lucid days of his life blabbering about the NRA and his Moses connection.

Leslie Swearingen 5 years, 8 months ago

I like Paris Hilton, she was good in a Supernatural episode where she took out one of the bad guys with nothing but a manolo shoe.

KUinAussie 5 years, 7 months ago

haha, at least you spoke what all the other posters were thinking.

blindrabbit 5 years, 8 months ago

my mistake on prior post Line 2 " Wayne LaPierre,( NPR goon and mouthpiece)" should have read "NRA" instead.

edmclinn 5 years, 8 months ago

Please put an asterisk by the rights in the bill-of-rights. It should state "these were the rights of American citizens"

I just adopted a baby in Uganda who is six months older than my natural baby, thus the need for diapers of a different size. I can assure you that all the papers were properly done. They have to be kept in Uganda because of the rules in that country. I was going to go green and use Uganda moss for a diaper, because that is the best and used around the world, but was unable to get the moss into the U.S. Therefore, I will be moving to France. After I vote for Obama. Keep this up and my good friends Angie and Brad will mount a protest the likes of which you have never seen.

KUinAussie 5 years, 7 months ago

if you spent as much time editing my post, as you did voting, my whole theory would be a moot point, because america would not have been taken over by 'whomever' right in front of your nose!!

KUinAussie 5 years, 8 months ago

of all replies, this would be the closest guess.

its actually a prediction. i take into account current events within the country (remember, i fled).

not only that, but it was a great experiment to see how people on this matter responded.

just remember. obama is FIGHTING the blockage of his 'we can detain any american citizen if we deem them a terrorist pact'. he has stated, even though all americans are afforded a trial by jury and representation by the constitution. he can make you disappear.

No need for Ballard, but keep me in mind if you find some 5.75 Velo Dog brass.

headdoctor 5 years, 8 months ago

Autie, you and snap should sell your Ballard and Velo-dog to a collector and just use a 270 and snap should switch to a .22 long rifle or mag. Much easier to get rounds for or reload.

When are you freaking loonies going to realize the president does not create laws? Are you really that stupid? This sounds like something Rush Limbaugh would say during one of his drug induced rants. Republicans really are a bunch of lemmings.

Phillbert 5 years, 8 months ago

They love the Constitution so much they can't bear to actually read it.

I look forward to the day that the Republican controlled House of Representatives passes such a law, and the Republicans in the Senate don't filibuster it. Such a day will finally break the heat wave since hell will have frozen over.

KUinAussie 5 years, 7 months ago

for once on this blog, i stand corrected, but validated:

obama's minions will start the ball rolling on the idea,

and not veto it.

it's all in the perspective,

and you i think,

make the most valid point.

they are all in it together...

again, this is a prediction...

im not a politician,

i was not meant to spell out the plan,

only warn you of what i see in the future!

Somebody made a post that ended up on my Facebook page that: "Dale Gentry...Prophetic Word for September 4, 2012 'I see Barak Obama in the White House in 2013, introducing Islam as the new national religion.'"

He must have seen that President Obama will win re-election and that he will be so powerful that he can proclaim anything into law. Amazing!

Flap Doodle 5 years, 8 months ago

After he is defeated this November, the Mope will remain in office until January 20. Therefore he will be in the White House in part of 2013 despite his loss of the election. Good try though, thanks for playing. Better luck next time.

SgtSkull 5 years, 8 months ago

I believe this Blog to be totally incorrect. I recently traded 2 guns on craigslist and had the police come check them to make sure they were clean (not stolen) guns. I asked that if I trade these out again would it be possiable for the police to run the names of people that I might possiably trade these guns to. I wanted to make sure that I dont trade them to a felon or someone that should not have guns. I was told "We are not allowed to run the names for you to make sure it is ok". The police officer agreed that there should be a way for me to make sure that the people receiving the guns are allowed to have them.

Flap Doodle 5 years, 7 months ago

This is total crap. Craigslist doesn't accept ads for firearms. "Partial list of items for sale and services the advertisement of which is not permitted on craigslist: Child pornography, obscene materials, offers or solicitation of illegal prostitution. Weapons and related items, including firearms, ammunition, silencers, pellet/BB guns, tear gas or stun guns..."

verity 5 years, 8 months ago

I also have it on good authority that if Romney is elected president, he is going to declare Mormonism the national religion and we will all have to take two years off to go door-to-door handing out copies of the Book of Mormon and proselytizing and wear white shirts and ties and everything. Oh, wait, we'll already all be Mormon. Never mind.

At my age, a burka is beginning to sound good.

KUinAussie 5 years, 7 months ago

that is treason, to say a burka as an amerian born citizen, is more preferable. look it up before you get knocks on your door!

headdoctor 5 years, 8 months ago

Roflmao, Then instead of Republicans verses Democrats we can all argue over which group we follow. The LDS or the RLDS.

You can be sure we'll find something to fight about.
