Zarco
I miss Zarco.I miss that beacon of light in the early morning dawn before daylight and that welcoming sight at night when I am coming home from work after a long day.I will miss Zarco even more when the snow flies and I know when I have reached there from my treacherous, icy, snow-packed county road - that hopefully, the rest of my winter journey will be easier.I will miss running into neighbors/acquaintances that I haven't seen for quite a while as they stop at the Zarco oasis for fuel, chips, pop, milk, a newspaper, or just whatever.I miss the fact that I have to "think" about getting fuel now, as in the past I could leave Lawrence or home on an empty tank and know that Zarco was waiting for me just down the road.I will miss having the Zarco landmark to easily lead others to my home.I miss Zarco.
