Michelle Obama: Photoshop Anyone?
I find the evolution of images of Michelle Obama quite interesting.
Perhaps Max Factor was resurrected for this one!

But to answer your question: I am pretty sure the second picture differs in skin tone due to differences in lighting. The first picture is from a large, open venue while the second one was done in a closed room and set up (no doubt meticulously).
The third picture is likely airbrushed and, perhaps, photoshopped. All fashion magazines do it and it was not likely done under anyone from the whitehouses request.
Still, she is gorgeous in every photo.

And Marion, why do you post these sorts of things? Is it just a sadistic thrill you get from prodding people? Saw the headline and knew it was you. Considering the trend of your entries and how so many consider them, that can't be a good thing. You know this, obviously, so why?

The more salient issue is that magazines airbrush people they shoot.
it reminds one of the Sarah Palin/Newsweek boondoggle where they had a close up of her face on the cover and, instead of airbrushing the photo, they decided to show her crater sized pores.

Besides, don't you think that an official portrait of the First Lady should be complimentary? I do, no matter what I think of President Obama and his policies.

Apples and oranges. No evolution taking place. I'm sure that if a photographer showed up at your house and took a set portrait of you, it would look better than a candid shot with a long lens and you didn't know that your picture was being taken. She is also not a 'natural' model like Barak that always seems to know that he is on 'stage'.

Not sure what the point is with this blog post. Is it surprising to you that various publications use different techniques to shoot and edit photographs? I can certainly tell you as someone with education in photography and professional experience that all three photos were photoshopped but for different effect. The first is a news photograph and - assuming an ethical photographer - the goal would be simple corrections of technical failings. The second is a portrait shot in very controlled lighting and photoshop would be used to correct technical failings and probably any minor cosmetic issues. The third would - again - be shot with very controlled lighting and would probably be the most heavily edited for cosmetic issues without any editorial constraint. As for height/width issues: that is more likely the result of lens choices. Long lenses compress, short and wide lenses distort. One doesn't need photoshop to do that.

Obama is dividing this country. But, I believe even he is being marched ahead of a mob. I am beginning to believe the problem is rich verses poor. The mob sees unending inequities. I could be wrong, but the mob is growing. I for one, do not think the answer is dismantling free enterprise, but I do believe the problem of wealth dispersion must be addressed. Otherwise, angry mobs will act even against their own best interests. Higher taxes, more regulation, more government will kill their future faster and with more permanency than wealth disparity. Could it be that neither party sees the mob?

yesterday I did yard work with my spouse, enjoying the company and the weather. I had a few Shiner Blacks, and took time for a cigar with my neighbor while discussing an upcoming street repair project.
We took our daughter and her friends trick or treating and enjoyed seeing all the little goblins laughing and having fun.
Had a fire in the pit, read some college football scores and went to bed.
What I did not do is sit around worrying about if pictures of the First Lady of my country had been photoshopped. Matter of fact it never crossed my mind. My children stood on jackolantern lined porches with many other races waiting for that snickers bar and I doubt that any of them cared about the pictures either. You see, children are not born to hate. They are taught hate and racism by us, the adults they look up to to guide them.
My point is this…how long will the LJWorld allow Marion and his constant spread of hate and racism post on this site? Oh he hides it well and he will deny it…but look close it is there. Not only does this site support Marion and his beliefs, they put his face on the front page. It has been suggested that his posts drive up the comment count resulting in more advertising. I do not know if this is true, Kealing has denied this rumor multiple times.
Our children are 13 and 10. We try not to let the younger see Marions comments and our 13 year old son just reads them and laughs. He knows a racist fool when he sees one.
And what a fool he is.

Like others on this forum I knew before looking that this blog was by marion. Additionally, I knew that it was another ‘veiled attempt’ to promote racist views by vociferously denying his own racist views.
I think marion loves being called racist so he can SHOUT back that he is *not racist* while at the same time demonstrating he *is racist*!

Roe, you are a marvel. Like Brett Farve you are a true American original.
Michele Obama is beautiful is a real way. She is in a position to teach black girls that you can be strong, smart and still be lovely. Black girls as well as boys need role models right now.
The media tends to dwell on the blacks who are underclass and being what they are it just serves them right.
The Obamas are proof positive that this is not so. There are good, stable black families who are raising their children the right way.
We should not lose sight of the real issue here. It is not about being a cover girl, it is about being a woman who is beautiful because the strength of her soul shines forth.

different angle on the first picture in the blog, so you really can't compare anything.
But I wish I looked that good at her age.

mom-of_three, all you need to look that good at her age is photoshop and the collaboration of the mainstream media.
Your right to be that beautiful should be included with your government run health care plan. Photoshop and botox for all! hmmm, hmmm!! You, too, deserve to be perfect and beautiful in every image taken of you. It is your right! I am sure the Constitution guarantees this. You go for it, girl! Demand what you deserve.
