Red Herring and not material to the discussion.
(1) The posted question concerns which of the images might have influenced the presentation of the Dynamite Prize to Barack Hussein Obama.
(2) I have not asked what McCain would be doing and there is no way to know. In anycase, Barack Hussein Obama is both the president and recipient of the Dynamite Prize, so could you curtail your efforts at spin, control your attention issues and stick to the subject?

The pulitzer? Maybe you should figure out what you're talking about before you open your mouth…
Al Gore was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize as leader of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, not as himself. The Panel was who really won, that's why it's listed first.
And by the way, whatever problems he has created in the US have no bearing on why he was selected for this prize, because believe it or not, there are other things going on in the world besides what's happening in the US. So I guess the best picture would be the one of him meeting with foreign leaders, since that's the kind of thing the prize is awarded for.

“The world is happy about it” someone wrote.
Well, not the whole world it would seem.
http://www.mg.co.za/article/2009-10-1…
“The Nobel Peace Prize is an odd thing. It has gone to institutions - Amnesty, the International Atomic Energy Agency, Médecins Sans Frontières and the UN's peacekeeping forces; to those involved in attempting to make peace despite having blood on their hands, such as Yasser Arafat, and to figures such as Henry Kissinger who was more associated in the public imagination with the war in Vietnam.
It has gone to symbols of peace — such as the Dalai Lama — and some more questionable figures, such as Mother Teresa. Most notably it has gone to relentless campaigners for human rights, equality and the ending of violence: Jimmy Carter, Aung San Su Kyii, Martin Luther King and Nelson Mandela. What unites the best winners is not simply an inspirational discourse but the sense they stand for something. Actions achieved or a long commitment to an ideal, often through hardship.
Indeed, the reasoning behind the awarding of the prize to previous American presidents has been easier to discern. Teddy Roosevelt opened the court of arbitration in The Hague and helped mediate a peace treaty between Russia and Japan; Woodrow Wilson was the founder of the League of Nations. Jimmy Carter won his prize for his “untiring efforts to find peaceful solutions to international conflicts”.
Which is what makes the awarding of this year's prize to a president who has been in office for a mere nine months an odd departure. It is as if the prize committee had been persuaded to give the award on the future delivery of promises.
The citation describes his “his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples” in his outreach to the Muslim world and efforts to end nuclear proliferation.
Which is all very well, except that Obama is fighting wars in two Islamic states — Iraq and Afghanistan — and his efforts at international diplomacy, notwithstanding his powerful desire to achieve quick results, has thus far shown almost no progress in pushing forward peace talks in the Middle East and only very partial progress on Iran.
It is true that he has made real advances in “resetting” US-Russian relations, not least over his decision to cancel an anti-missile shield that was to be based in Eastern Europe, but the consequences of that engagement are too early to judge.
The reality is that the prize appears to have been awarded to Barack Obama for what he is not. For not being George Bush. Or rather being less like the last president. The question now is whether having being anointed perhaps too early by the committee, a Nobel prize earned so cheaply and at so little cost will help him in his efforts on the international stage or rather be an albatross around his neck. Something against which all his future efforts will be judged - and perhaps found wanting.

Obama does not deserve his Nobel Peace Prize
By Jason Ravin
“Speaking from the Rose Garden this morning President Obama announced that he would accept the Nobel Peace Prize. The president said that he does not view it as a recognition of his own accomplishments, but as a call to action for the international community to confront global issues.
The Norwegian Nobel Committee announced its decision to award President Barack Obama the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize for “his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples.” The decision, a surprise to many, appears in large part to be based on Obama's campaign for the U.S. presidency. The deadline for nominations was February 1 meaning that Obama was nominated before serving his first eleven days in office.
An excerpt from the will of Alfred Nobel, the founder of the Nobel Prizes, instructs that the Nobel Peace Prize should be awarded “to the person who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses.”
So how does Obama stand up against this criterion set by Nobel? Unfortunately not well.
The prize comes at a time when Obama has had little success in the way of creating or sustaining peace. The new president is currently debating Gen. Stanley McChrystal's recommendation to increase troop levels in Afghanistan due to increased U.S. causalities. In Iraq, 124,000 U.S. soldiers remain in armed conflict.
Further, the growth in U.S. military expenditures has continued. On Tuesday, the U.S. Senate approved $636 billion in military funding, $3.9 billon less then the White House requested. The propensity for armed conflict does not appear to be abating, which makes Obama a very odd choice for the Peace prize.
In the last few weeks, the Israeli-Palestinian peace talks have all but frozen under Obama's leadership, and the threat of nuclear Iran appears to make our current president mimic the words of our last one.
Put bluntly, President Obama does not deserve the Nobel Peace Prize. The current president lacks any significant accomplishment on the matter of conflict resolution with the exception of his beer summit on race relations earlier this summer.
The matter of international or domestic peace is the result of a body of work - not something accomplished in nine months. Obama now stands in a league with only two other African-Americans who have won the Noble Peace Prize: Dr. Ralph Bunche and Dr. Martin Luther King. A review of their work for domestic and international peace towers over the largely symbolic accomplishments of our current president.
There may be a time when President Obama is deserving of this award, but for now, he will have to try his best to live up it.

And Pravda says:
http://english.pravda.ru/world/americ…
“The question why Barack Obama was chosen as this year’s Nobel Peace Prize Laureate can be answered with another: Why was George W. Bush never even considered for it? The answer in both cases is more than obvious. Yet the entire question is far more complex than Barack Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize and George W. Bush getting nowhere near it.
It is entirely to do with the international community sending a clear sign to the United States of America that the will is there to welcome the prodigal son back into the fold, but on certain conditions. And everyone knows this.
And the fact that there are any conditions at all is a disgrace and a total humiliation for the nation which purported to be the saviour of the free and the bastion of freedom and democracy for two centuries, it is a clear sign that these noble precepts were insulted to their core by a succession of administrations pandering to the interests of the clique of corporate elitists which had Washington’s throat in their grasp and which controlled the United Sates of America’s foreign policy…..”

I am thinking since you hate him so bad it would be much more productive for you fear mongering racists to be helping beat the bushes to scrape up a viable candidate to run in 2012 and help the Republicans come up with some sort of platform that would please the masses. I guess since you are content to bad mouth Obama he will be around another 4 years because there isn't anyone to run against him that is worth voting for.

Obama's Nobel Prize Is More of a Burden than an Honor
By Claus Christian Malzahn
The Nobel Peace Prize has come too early for Barack Obama. The US president cannot point to any real diplomatic successes to date and there are few prospects of any to come.
It used to be the rule that the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to politicians if they could point to tangible political successes. American presidents and politicians have consistently been recipients of the award: Theodor Roosevelt received the award in 1906 for his role in securing a peace deal between Russia and Japan. Woodrow Wilson was honored with the prize in 1919 for his work on the creation of the League of Nations, the precursor to the United Nations. Martin Luther King was presented with the award in 1964 for his commitment to civil rights for African Americans. The former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger was even controversially given the nod in 1973 for his role in negotiating an end to the Vietnam War.
Now it is the turn of the 44th president of the United States, Barack Obama, who was awarded the prize on Friday for his “extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and co-operation between peoples,”

cont'd:
With all respect to both Obama as a person and to his office: Is that really enough?
Obama has been in office for nine months. His attempts to use brilliant speeches and diplomatic initiatives to find a way out of long-drawn-out conflicts are well worth the effort. He has tried to create an international climate in which dialogue and honest statements are possible once again.
Yet Obama is just getting started. Awarding him the Nobel Prize now is like giving a medal to a marathon runner who has just managed the first few kilometers. The situation in Iraq is still fragile; in Afghanistan, it has even got worse. Despite the massive efforts by the US administration, there seems little immediate prospect of reaching a compromise between the Israelis and Palestinians in the Middle East. The Iranian regime is still playing its nuclear games with the West at the diplomatic level, while at home one dissident after another is put on the scaffold. A nuclear-armed Pakistan looks close to collapse, while in North Korea, Dr. Strangelove is stroking his bomb.
The most surprise at Oslo's decision will be felt in the US itself. That is because the man who was singled out for the prize on Friday is not the American president, a man who has to make tough and sometimes unpopular decisions at home, but a global symbolic figure who during the 2008 election campaign came to embody the hopes and desires of people around the world. Obama even laid claim to these almost superhuman expectations. However, nine months after his inauguration, his current political task is to be seen to be a president who can practise the art of realpolitik as well as being the globally popular hope for the future. The awarding of the prize won't go far to help him with that. In fact, it will be more of a burden than an honor. …..”

I read dates just fine. I wasn't saying your idea for your blog came from BigPrune. I was giving you grief for your posting content. The subject of your blog assuming you had stuck to it was different from what Big Prune's was.
Knowing terms doesn't date any one persons age. Both words and their different spellings, Shazam, Shazzam, Dynomite, and Dyno-mite as well as a few spellings that were not included here have been around for decades and used to name or describe many things. Just because someone posts it free standing, doesn't mean everyone will automatically know the basis for why they used the term.
Now who is a silly person? You would think that by now you would have learned assuming doesn't help with much of anything and especially if your deductive reasoning is painfully lacking.

I am still waiting for these jokers like Marion to stop wasting their time bashing Obama and offer suggestions for a valid Republican platform other that just being obstructive and a viable candidate for the 2012 election. That would mean someone besides Palin. What I find hilarious is the most likely Republican candidate could turn out to be more socially Liberal as a Republican than Obama is socially Liberal for the Democrats. So, what difference does it make? Oh, I forgot he is white and no known ties to the Muslim religion.
Marion denies that his motives are racist. Except for a few hiccups here and there, Obama is not only following but expanding the previous administrations actions. There wasn't a problem then so why now? Even though you want to play ignorant and innocent about your posts, you know why people are calling you racist and you prove it by continuing to post that way. You can't even plead that it is just because Obama is for Socialism because the bulk of the new Republicans in power are just as bad, they just go about it in a little different way and gear it more for their benefit than spreading the benefit country wide. Their actions are still that of a Socialist.
Now Marion, what part of that can't you get your brain wrapped around?

.the Left and those possessed by ODS (Obama Derangement Syndrome) have decided that any and all criticism of The New Prince of Peace is “racist” in character, based on the half-blackness of The Chosen One.
Of course this is blatant attempt to stifle independent thought, stop free thinking and quash political dissidence; quite as is done in places like Red China and North Korea.
Since the term “racism” is a hot button and trips all sorts of triggers, many who are so accused will indeed fall silent.

you know, I do see a lot of people attacking this president based on his promises, lies, and inabilities. And I think that doing so is not only our right as Americans, but our responsibility. Just because the Republicans lost in the last election does not force them out of the debate. It becomes incumbent upon them to challenge this president and congress to answer for their actions. The left had 6 solid years to bitch about the Republicans and another two just for Bush., and they used that time to belittle our president at every single turn. There were times when the conversation was totally called for in regards to war and world trade, but when the conversation turned to how stupid the commander in chief was, I didn't see any liberals crying foul. I saw them jumping on the bandwagon making a mockery of the office.
Now there are individuals who don't like the president because of his race (or half race, whatever), but the bulk of complaints I'm seeing are formulated around policy. and since the left doesn't have a whole lot of defense against what's being said, the word racism miraculously appears just to shut down the conversation.

Thanks for taking a stab at it. That is more than Marion ever did. I was thinking a few possible names might be dropped on here for discussion. There are a good three dozen or more possible candidates although some are obviously not viable choices but there seems to be three or four that might be acceptable to the public.
I think if I understand from a previous post on another thread that you would like to fire all the Congress and if the next bunch don't work out keep getting them out of office until something works. My question is, how do you get rid of all the Socialists in DC? I know it is a dirty word to some but Socialism has become ingrained in both parties and the operation of our Country has been set up to rely on it. Even our GNP or what ever term they are using this week for it is reliant on Socialism to a degree.

You want me to contact a racist, black hate organisation to tell me what is “racist”, right?
Got it.
Why don't you tell me which of the images are “racist”?
You won't because none of them are.

“The non-stop whining and crocodile tears of the neocons are so old, although I do love to know that you are so miserable all the time.” -beatrice
Aaaaagain, do you not remember the past several years? To school us on whining and crocodile tears and being miserable……please beatrice. You have to live with this now, like we did all those W years. Sorry, just the way it is.

Tom, it looks like you just wrote, “But … but, Bush!”
Yes, I remember the last eight years, and I remember a time when Bush enjoyed a 90% approval rating. People weren't just bashing for no reason. The dislike of his policies and his later low approval ratings was something he earned. He earned his bashing. It wasn't just whining for the sake of whining. This “blog” doesn't even say anything, nor is it original. It is taking other people's images and putting on line. Big whoop. It is just whining made visual. boo hoo boo hoo.
I love how miserable neocons are.

How did Bush get into this?
I made no mention of Bush.
The blog was about representative images.
Whatup?
These people apparently have the attention span of fruit flies or are some kind of ADD, I think!

Why is it do you suppose that whenever The New Prince Of Peace; Barack Hussein Obama is criticised, the only thing that his supports can reply with are comments about GWB?
Whatup?

Tom, brilliant plan!!! How do you plan on getting rid of all of the socialist in DC? The answer to that I am betting is a little scarey to the average citizen! If the things you say on these blogs actually reflect your thought process (or rather the limitations there of), I am worried that if your actions reflect that same process, than we will be seeing you on the news someday after you have done something horific! Get some help before “going postal” is replaced with “going Shewman”!

Funny g-hawk. Thanks for the laugh. Sorry though, I'm not the type to “go postal” and maybe I'm not the same “Tom Shewmon” in person…..I do afterall, have a role to play on this here award-winning forum. I did 'go postal' on a deer Monday afternoon though–toughest shot I've ever taken. I was proud of that one. ;-)

Just responding to beatrice about the whining going on now, and once again, offering a friendly reminder of what the right had to listen to over the past several years. Then I get attacked and so the story goes. BFD. And as I always suggest, artichokeheart, you post what you want and I'll post what I want, deal? Simple.

The truth is that when the Bush boys were in office there were alot of things said. Same for Clinton, Reagan, Carter etc. Some true and some not. Some things were twisted for vengence and some just for fun.
Obama has now taken over so he gets everything those before him got from the other side. It is the price he pays for being the top banana.

So would a sack of dead skunks. Doesn't mean it is worth anything.
You write that this is “the truth” — what truth? The truth that you know how to copy and paste images? Big whoop. I guess if I also added a picture of Mother Theresa standing with her arms crossed, and a picture of Pete Rose standing with his arms crossed, why, that would mean Obama is just like those two as well! Gee, great “truth.”
“the only thing that his supports can reply with are comments about GWB?”
Two things - one, people do mention Bush (43) as a comparative because he was our most recent president. Are we supposed to pretend history doesn't exist every time we get a new Pres? That would be moronic. We also did all the comparison worthwhile against McCain during the election. No point in continuing that now. No, comparing a President to other Presidents makes perfect sense. The real question — the “truthful” question - is, why are you so scared or ashamed of such comparisons? Second - Tom is the one who keeps bringing up Bush. I guess he must qualify as a supporter of Obama then. How about that Tom, you are now part of the wacko liberal elite lefty fringe. Again, moronic.
Tom, why play a role here? Why not just be honest?

Shouting 'racism' today to an opponent is like in the playground days when an argument had reached maturity the antagonist bereft of any more good reasons or arguments would always say 'stupid' or 'idiot'. That frequent response certainly lifted the discussion to a new level on the intellectual plane, didn't it? So today's overuse of the word 'racism' has come to be an odoriferous order to 'shut up, don't say anything more' demand that debate stop! Mmmmm, Mmmmm, Mmmmm.
Try it next time, when you hear the 'racism' demand shouted, to substitute the words 'shut up' or 'quit speaking' in its place and its intended use will finally be made clear.
