KU Will Not Win the Tournament!

Bad news KU fans, I just heard that the Jayhawks got the kiss of death: Barack Obama picked them to win the NCAA tournament.

I have every confidence that if they don't win there will be a dozen or so posters (you know who you are, folks) who will be all over the LJ World blaming Obama for it. I'm sure the ones who are hardcore KU fans are really torn right now: to them rooting for KU now means agreeing with Obama. I would feel their pain if it wasn't funny. But it is.

I don't know how or why people blame B-rock for everything that has or hasn't happened to their liking...But as far as KU winning the tournament,, it was as good a bet as any...Plus, like my momma always use to say, "If you cain't cheer for the home team, get your ass out of our stadium"!

Meanwhile, Senator John McCain predicts the "Friendly Geezers" from Sun City West to take it all in this year's shuffle board competition in Boca Raton.

I think it is great that the President can be human and take part in filling out his picks on college ball. At least he isn't so scared that he just stays neutral so as to not upset anyone's little feelings.

(oh, and to any friendly geezers who might read this, sorry for the McCain joke. Just having a laugh.)

Maybe it's a delayed curse - let's hope KU does better next year than UNC the year after the pres picked them.

I think KU is hands down the best team in the country this yr.
But I think that only gives them about a 1:3 chance of winning it all.
