The Tiniest Animals
With all that is going on in the world right now, I thought I would put something that is just cute. Little creatures that have no harm and are not likely to. Which is why we have our animal companions, right? It's a refreshing break. Which one of these would you be more likely to have in your home? More than one?
Micro pigs make brilliant pets - they are intelligent, affectionate, can be house-trained and learn their names. They need a large garden, should be kept in pairs and can live for 18 years
Pygmy goats are fun-loving pets that need at least one other goat for company, or even another species such as a horse or donkey
Pygmy hedgehogs were last year's must-have pet. They are similar to a hamster in that they are nocturnal, enjoy exercise wheels and live for three to five years. They are different because they are carnivorous - and prickly
Dwarf caymans may be tiny - but they're still crocodiles
These sand cats may look like cute little kitties, but even if you turn up your central heating really high they probably won't like living with you - they prefer the desert (as you might have guessed from the name)

Oh Roe, that was terrible! :)
I think I would like a pygamy goat or a micro-pig. At least the micro-pig can be potty trained which is more than my rabbit is able to do.

they are all cute but, w/ the exception of the pig and goat, they look like wild animals. therefore they shouldn't be owned as pets.

Jane, I agree, they are so cute. How could you resist those little faces?
Roe, once you started in, you would quickly decimate the micro pig population. They couldn't breed quickly enough, though I imagine they would be willing to try.

Micro pigs..that photo is of them as babies.
“Two years later the pigs are fully grown - but still only weigh up to 65lb and stand at around 14in tall.”

And do you open those hedgehogs with a knife, or use one of these?

Katara, thanks for the link. How would it feel to be so tiny in a big world. What do they think of being perched on a human finger?
I am meeting with President Obama to see if we can pass a law requiring everyone to be be vegan.
Of course, the first major hurgle will be - him.
I would like to say here that I found the pictures in the

and thought they they were so cute I wanted to share them.
I am uncertain of the protocol about such things.
