RoedApple quickly identified the subject of the picture this week. Although his first guess was not quite correct. See the end of this post for the answer.
I'll confess I almost didn't post a picture this week. Sometimes life's events dominate and so it has been with me this week.
Nothing fancy this week, just a unique perspective on a familiar object.
2nd image:
One last partial image:
The image(s) above is(are) a part of a photo I took somewhere in the area. I'll add additional parts of the picture over the next few days. You are invited to try to guess the subject and location of the photo. I'll notify the first person who correctly identifies the subject or location of the entire photo. That subject or location won't be revealed until later, after the answer is obvious. I suggest that people indicate that their guess is "Final" as opposed to just speculation and limit themselves to one final answer per person.
You can check my twitter account to see when new images are posted, or just check back here. I normally post a new picture each Sunday evening.
Suggestions for interesting, out of the way (or not so out of the way) subjects are welcome.

Bert Nash, Lied Center, Freestate High School, Langston Hughes School, Lawrence Arts Center, Hobbs Taylor Lofts — those were the guesses. Shows how boring and repetetive the “style” has become if there ever was any to start with.

George, I was just being a smart aleck..brick and silver..so you're very right!
When I was a kid, if you saw red brick and silver together, it meant you had wandered too close to the 'facilities section'..or you had a view of the rooftop ac unit.
Those metal parts were intentionally hidden away because red being a warm color,it wasn't meant to go with cold silver or gray, lol. You automatically looked around to see where you'd lost your mother. Mom!
I just put an apostrophe in the word meant..I think I'm getting Alzheimer's. I do stuff like that all the time now.

I always thought that the Bert Nash and Art's Center buildings looked like a combination of minimun security prisons and airport terminals.
