The Lawrence We Remember: Things We Miss
Tonight's beautiful weather got me to thinking about some of the things that we used to have in town, particularly those I miss.
Here are some of the things I fondly remember.
- The train in Watson Park without the fence. I know it really wasn't safe without a fence around it, but there is something about climbing on a real steam engine!
- A movie theater downtown. Another little thing that my kids never got to experience.
- And talking about theaters, what about the drive-in? Another experience our kids have missed.
- Miniature golf. I don't think I've ever forgiven Douglas County Bank. Don't know if the story I'd heard is true, but I know that Putt-Putt is gone and a bank is there.

The rocket at
ArrowheadBroken Arrow Park. Does anyone remember the playset nearby? I always thought it looked like a hamburger.
Is there anything you miss that I haven't mentioned?
Correction:
Of course there is a theater downtown--Liberty Hall. I should have specifically mentioned the Granada and Varsity which tease us because the signs remain but the theaters are long gone.

Drag strip, the old fire engine. How could I forget those!
And I do remember the sheet metal man and a few of the other things mentioned. I was raised in Linwood so I'm not nearly as familiar with Lawrence of that era as you two.
Never knew there was a go kart track. Darn. I would have liked that. Too bad there is nothing like that now. In fact it seems to me there isn't much like that to do anymore.

Before it was Sac's wasn't it Gibson's? I seem to remember the Gibson's had photographic paper and chemicals along with a lot of other stuff. I used to develop my own film and print pictures.

Paradise Grill - miss the orange roughy, the manicotti, the breakfasts, the great wait staff.
Bluebird Cafe - miss the breakfast and the coffee
River City Lobster Bar - didn't last long - had great seafood.
Alvin's grocery store where the Merc is now located.
Ballet classes off New Hamshire offered by the Arts Center - Used to walk to Henry's for coffee after dance class.
Tin Pan Alley - they had great food and a cool atmosphere.
Coco Loco's -great dance parties downtown!
The kids section of the Gap downtown BEFORE they took it away and put it back. It's not as good now.
Dollar Movies where Maximus is now.
Vintage Junk - I think they are still around but it's not done the same.
I have not lived here as long as others who have posted the things that they miss.

Great accumulating list, everybody.
Re Dave's #1, the train w/o the stupid fence: I have some pix of me on the engine, in some very sexy poses, taken when I was about 24. Ha!! Those were the days, all right.
And, speaking of sexy, I loved shopping at Undercover—and it was fun when they “bombed” it during the filming of The Day After.
The first time I ever saw Rocky Horror Picture Show was at midnight in downtown Lawrence. Great memory.
We also used to go up the hill to watch movies at Dyche Hall. There were stuffed African big-game animal heads on the walls. Wild. I think I saw Citizen Kane there once. I can't remember whether these were on Friday or Saturday nights. After the movie, walking home to studentville (Kentucky St for me), we would stop on 9th St to line up at Joe's for fresh, warm doughnuts. Ahhhhh…. I feel bad for my KU student kids for missing out on Joe's.
I miss Chapman's—and regret that the charming and gracious proprietor passed away before his time.
Super X Drugs & Kroger on 23rd, where Dillons is now. I had a 2nd job (evenings & wkends) at Super X when I first came to Lawrence. Only transportation was a bike, which I rode there, rain or shine. Kroger's was open 24 hrs. Once in awhile, BF and I would call a cab to take us & groceries home. We'd play Donkey Kong at the front of the store while waiting for the cab.
I miss a lot of people who came, stayed a few years, then moved on. Lots of great friends who left after grad school or even undergrad. Scattered to the winds. Keeping in touch with occasional letters, calls, or emails is just not the same as hanging out on a Saturday night when we were all single & carefree. I don't necessarily want to be that age again, but wish more of my favorite folks had stayed.
The Merc when it was on 7th St.. It was cool & funky, then, and the people working there did not have attitude.
I got to Lawrence the winter after the tornado hit up on 31st St, so I missed a lot of the things some of you remember, but if it was here for most of the 80s, it probably rings a bell.

Remember being a kid, going into Woolworth's downtown to see the pets in the back? They had mice and birds. etc. Then to Drakes for some of the best french fries ever made on the planet with ketchup in thin lines all over the top instead on one small dab on the side like at home. Nice ladies behind the counter that were always happy you came in!

In 1981, I called up Karen Barber at the Lazer and requested the Clash “Train in Vain” and she laughed out loud at my suggestion. Several years later, the Lazer incorporated several Clash songs in their rotation, and I felt vindicated. And stopped listening.

I miss Tin Pan Alley, Paradise Cafe, a gravel Wakarusa, Alvin's grocery stores, a working Freemason building downtown, The Wall, Gammons, Joe's Bakery, The mirror front of the buildings across from the Brewery so that I can see the reflection of Liberty Hall from the balcony of the FreeState (the gap is so atrocious!), oyster night at the bar in the basement of the Eldridge, the haunted fraternity on 9th street, The Crossing, the grand old “broccoli” tree where that condo thing and parking lot stands near borders, the old jungle gym firetruck on the park on Mass. Shall I continue?

Though I didn't grow up in Lawrence, I grew up with my parents bringing me up to Lawrence many a weekend. Without a doubt, “the fire engine park” was my all-time favorite place to go. When they took the real fire truck out and replaced it with that silly fake fire truck, my childhood was changed forever!

Peking Restaurant near Iowa and 23rd, circa 1992-95. Made the best, best, best Kung Pao chicken in the world. Must have gained 20 pounds eating that stuff.
Putt Putt golf and batting cages!. I too vowed never to support that bank whose name shall never be uttered. Kept my promise too.
May not have this right, but was it “Vista?” Great burger and especially shakes place out on 6th street.

Insane shows at Hoch Aud on KU campus before it burned down: Funkadelics and Peter Tosh were 2 of the most memorable. Sunday AM at Bob's ??? at 14th and Mass and then working Sunday AM breakfast rush at Sister Kettle. Tredo's , Pentimento., salad bar across from ghetto Dillon's, Kroger's on 23rd, the Big Eat, the Salad Bowl in South Park, the Vortex underground paper, Newsreel. Dancing toTofu Teddy, Paradise on Sunday AM when it was in Baldwin, the Billtown Cafe pie, breakfast at the Hardware Cafe in Perry. How could the original author say they missed downtown movies when we have Liberty Hall, usually the best indy films in town. When going to Taco Grande on 23rd or Gibson's on Iowa was a major expedition. driving old 10 hiway to KC.

Voo Doo Hut on Friday nights. $1 pitcher nights back then, when a pitcher held … oh, I dunno … a coupla gallons, I guess. Live band sometimes, although when my roommate asked to play the drums for 'Wipe Out,' they wouldn't let him near the drums again. He was so much better than their drummer! Good times staggering back to student hovel.

Also, the 7-11 on 6th street where the Scotch Fabric Care is now. At least I think it's still there. Back in the 70's. There were no other stores out there. There were houses all around, apartments, and for the kids, this was their link to the civilized world, as parent didn't just drop everything to drive their kids around. Sure, many had memberships to the Country Club pool, or they got to go to the city pool. But otherwise, the closest thing was Hillcrest.
That 7-11. It sold Mexican jumping beans in a little box. Magazines in brown wrapping papers to men that gave us the creeps. Probably just college guys, but when you're only 10-15 in the 70's a brown paper wrapper meant 'creep'.

Taco Grande fans..Taco Casa's sauce is a lot like Taco Grande sauce. They are still open in Topeka, a couple of locations. I also saw a canned sauce at Walmart that has base ingredients like Taco Grande. I bought a can, going to see about it. I'll let you know. They carry it at Wal Mart.
Oh, Taco Grande..had Apple Cider Vinegar in it's sauce, and black pepper. Those are two things that made it different. You can make many other sauces, say Taco Bell hot..taste somewhat more like TG's if you sprinkle BPepper on it and let it sit for a while, say on your plate, let it mingle a bit. Don't get carried away, it can get strong! Same with the cider vinegar.

Having moved away in 2005, I have found myself missing everything about Lawrence especially the people. I really miss Free State, Yello Sub, walking on campus, Liberty Hall, and everything downtown. Consider yourself lucky to still have these things in you life! I also miss being live on the Lazer of the 90s…during the Alternative days and the amazing local music from the scene. I would love to someday come back!

I miss being able to park about ten feet from the south entrance to Allen Fieldhouse in the empty field that is now the ball diamonds.
I miss the “big band” at b-ball games at AFH.

I believe it was next to George's, a few doors down from the original Kiefs location. We used to stop there on our way home from Centennial (before Broken Arrow opened). You could get a foot long licorice whip for a penny!

And really…the only reasons I can think of that those places aren't still around or that creative, excited people haven't restored them to our community are 1. developers paid them off on 23rd street with HUGE cash sums so that all we are allowed to do for “recreation” is shop and 2. developers and landlords kept rent so abnormally high that anyone with a good idea and a plan couldn't afford to stay in business. Something has to give.

The Pig that I'm remembering was on 23rd St. next to..heck. Didn't one of the Green boys (Like Tommy or Bill, John) own a liquor store right there at one point? Pretty sure of that.
Then..someone turned it into a tax place..small place, not a lot of glass windows.
On the north side. It just had a small sign in the window, nothing big outside. I wouldn't be surprised it the Greens owned the Pig and I just didn't know it.
I was just so terribly busy my last many years in Lawrence that I didn't notice a long of changes. What did they tear down to put up that Pizza hut building on 23rd? The Ford car lot on the north side next to KFC..what used to be there? Something, right? I'm trying to work up through that street the way it used to be.

Valentino's and Rax restaurant was on 23rd were a few places on 23rd street that I still miss sometimes. Let me see, going into 'Strawberry Fields' with my sister b/c she told me it was a head shop and I expected severed heads or something. Walking from the pool to my grandparents house at 22nd and Tenn Street and seeing kids dancing around wearing american flags (sometimes just american flags) and at one point trying to walk with my sister covering my eyes (not sure what I wasn't supposed to see). Has anyone read the book 'Noble Chaos' by Brent Green?

I used to take my kid to Broken Arrow Park all the time. It is just amazing that she survived all of the “dangerous” playground equipment that used to be in the now vacant park.
Besides the rocket there was a little castle with slides, merrygo round, swing sets, several animal figures on springs, etc. I don't think I ever took any pictures there. It was just a lunch time destination for me, the kid and a happy meal when I worked second shift years ago.

I was told before Mazzio's went out of business, that it was being operated on a 'biding their time basis'. As in, the property is prime (note the fate of the corner the Putt Putt was on). The food was good, they had a good clientele but the owners wouldn't put upkeep money into it. I even talked to the mgr once and he couldn't figure it out. then later I talked to someone who told me this, can't prove it, but I know enough from the yuk up days, etc.
No need for them to hurry and sell that land, if you know what I mean. Nice tax write off, just waiting for the things to develop. The space itself wasn't that big. Now look, isn't the restaurant next to it up for sale?

I never went in the pig as I was young and that was my bro's hang out, but do I recall something like 'Where a man can be a pig!” or something like that? My brain said that but I have no visual memory to back it up.
Backgammon's. Blender drinks with huge slices of fruit on sticks. So large you could make a meal. Chi Chi heaven. Play backgammon and laugh our heads off for a couple of hours.

They had a lighted sign, I believe it was neon, that said “Free Beer Tomorrow”. Of course, tomorrow never came.
When the Pig moved north of town, they would have bands that played out back on Friday nights. Me and a buddy that worked second shift would hop on our scooters and ride north as fast as we could to party til closing time.

Mrs Roe once had a flat tire before we had cell phones. While she sat waiting, a three wheel contraption that sounded like 15 Harleys pulled up behind her with a hairy wild man riding it. She locked the doors, grabbed her keys and pepper spray and waited while this scary looking biker walked up to the drivers door. When he tapped on the window she slowly turned to meet his eyes. In recognizing him she smiled and said,”Oh thank God, Richard! It's you!”
The world lost one of the best when Richard Wright passed away, but somewhere he is helping where he can, and always will. Not sure if I know you, blue. I know we both lost someone we could trust with our lives and wives the day he died.

Amen Roe. For the first couple years after his death, I would still catch myself looking at phone company trucks to see if he was behind the wheel. For awhile it just didn't register with the old brain that he was gone. I first met Richard at an ABATE meeting.
been_there - that is correct that Sambo's was once where the Mongolian is now. i remember because when the new building was being constructed, someone wrote “Schum-bos” on the plywood taking a shot at our local restaurant mogul.

And Holiday Park Pool when you actually saw Mr Hird around there. When there was a sign on the wall as you walked in saying, 'We don't swim in your toilet, please don't pee in our pool.”
You could put signs up like that back then. Life guards actually made kids behave and the kids behaved or they got kicked out and had to sit up on top until their parent came to get them. Those lifeguards are now teaching in our school district. That makes me giggle. Those ornery boys they used to blow their whistles at all the time are selling real estate. This also makes me giggle. I always figured they'd get run over by cars, they were like small dogs that ran after cars, always running around loose.
Some of you know just who I'm talking about, don't you, hehehe. Those bratty ones, the kind you were really glad they lived…not in your neighborhood so you didn't get called to babysit them! Little rugrats, they all looked just alike. I really liked the oldest, have to set him apart. He was the good one of the bunch!
You could lose your membership..but we all behaved, so no one did that I ever heard of.
DeMolay parties at the pool. Place was packed with KU boys. Those days of the early Beatles were something! I remember dancing to “I Want To Hold Your Hand” with my mom over the loud speaker at one of those parties.I was just a little kid. I still have the single.
Driving to Holiday Park Pool, you had to park down around the side and walk back up the hill to get in. You had to leave you car windows down or you would die when you got back in. NO AC back then, remember? You put your towel on the seat and still burned your skin if you couldn't rotate on various points continuously until the breeze as the car moved cooled it off enough to sit down.
So you sat as far forward as you could, no seat belts, thank heavens!, so you could balance on your tail bone so as to not burn anymore of your bottom than you had to.
Then, if your mom hit a bump, your nose smacked into the metal back of the hot seat in front of you unless you happened to have something softer. Thank goodness my family drove Chrysler Imperials!
I just realized there are a couple of other families that might be confused for the one I was talking about. Close, yes..close. That's funny too!

Anyone visit the Sleepy Hollow nudist colony west of town? It was in the little valley north in the last dip before you hit the Clinton Park toll booth. I think originally accessed off E 800 Rd. Mont Bleu had a T-chair lift which was removed leaving the rope tow that only went part way up the slope. There was a golf course with sand greens where K-mart etc. is at 31rst and Iowa. Always hooked my 2nd tee shot over 31rst into the trailer court.

The blue lady was a fixture at KU for years. Story was she could take classes for free until she earned a degree. Something about a settlement because her husband died on a construction project at KU.
Johnny was around as long as I remember. The most I ever saw him wear was a light jacket, shorts and sneakers w/o socks. That was in a driving wet snow storm. He wouldn't hurt a fly. I last saw him when he was living in a mobile home park on the west side of North Michigan, but that was about 10 years ago.

I believe that is the first time I've heard him called by name, ha was always called “Tan Man” as far back as I remember seeing him. Also didn't know where he had moved to, but had heard of 'sightings' a couple of years ago.

Shorty's Cafe - across from the old Greyhound bus station. K. E. was a waitress there.
Pentimento Cafe - if my memory serves was started by some of the former Sister Kettle folks. Down from the post office where Bogart's was for a long time.
That Stationary Store - have no idea of the name. They sold art supplies and beautiful paper. The fixtures were old (1900), made of wood and had glass fronts.
Duck's Seafood - downtown
and I know it has been mentioned but - Taco Grande, Taco Grande, Taco Grande!!!

I'm 64 [LHS '63] so a few years older than the average, but here are a few I remember:
Original Putt-Putt I think was on the NE corner of 23rd and Iowa, I think there was a gas station right on the corner (Cities Service?), then the Robo-Wash/66 Gas, then the Putt-Putt. Must have moved south later.
Original KLWN radio station at (I think) 31st and Iowa.
Sorry, I can remember going to FOUR established movie theaters on Mass. for feature films when I was a kid. There was the Jayhawker at 7th, the Patee on the east side in the 800 block [where the walk-thru next to the flea market is], then the Granada and Varsity in the 1000 block. The Patee had a balcony, and was too narrow to show wide-screen movies.
John's Novelty Shop next to the Granada.
Mosser-Wolf cameras in the 1100 block, with the fledgling Centron in the back, when my mom first started working there in about 1948. Pat Read sold native American trinkets and jewelry in a tiny shop next door.
Rankin's Drug, SW cor 11th & Mass—prescriptions and a soda fountain.
The beautiful old white-and-green stone house just south of the Granada, adapted as the offices of Friend Lumber Co, which had the rest of the block. When they tore it down in the 50s it was the oldest downtown building. A supermarket replaced a lot of the lumber yard. [Was it A & P?]
Burgert's Shoe Repair and Rusty's IGA Superette further south from Mosser-Wolf.
Cole's IGA on N. 2nd, just after you came out of the underpass. Collapsed after the '51 flood.
Bell Music Co. in the 900 block, west side, sold sheet music and had a nice LP selection, with listening rooms where you could test-drive the LP you were thinking about buying.
I think the older bookstore on the same side, a bit farther South, was Keeler's, where they also had stationery and stamp collecting supplies.
While we're on stamp collecting, Ida Mason's stamp shop at 303 W. 13th, the bldg used to have big glass front windows, she lived in the back, and would admit you on a doorbell ring so you could come in and browse.

(1) There was an ice cream store on 23rd, near where Dunkin' Donuts is, where you could make your own sundae. They had a variety of toppings. Like a salad bar, but for ice cream. :-) I don't remember the name.
(2) Did someone mention Western Sizzlin'? One of the first places I ate when I moved to Lawrence. My mother and sister were helping me get settled in, and we went there for supper.
(3) The Sinclair station at 9th and Iowa!
(4) Hillcrest Garage, operated by the same folks that owned Hillcrest Wrecker.
(5) Minskey's (sp?) Pizza, where the Phoggy Dog is now.
(6) Cross Reference Christian Bookstore, in the Malls Shopping Center and at Holiday Plaza.
(7) Hardee's (one where Sheridan's is, one at 6th and Michigan that McDonald's purchased for office space).
(8) The 24-hour laundry near 31st and Iowa.
(9) Magic Wok Chinese restaurant. Good buffets on Sundays, plus weekday lunchtime buffets.
(10) The post office on 23rd Street.
(11) Shoney's—may have already been mentioned. Good breakfast bar.
(12) Marian Washington, KU women's basketball coach before the Bonnie Henrickson era.
Would have to agree with earlier posts about Hole in the Wall and the Yello Sub at 12th and Oread. (Yello Sub just came up in the conversation yesterday! Working on campus, when I couldn't find any other food worthy of my money, I could walk there.)

I lived in 15 different states as a child (Dad with Bell Labs). Landed in Lawrence in “73” at age 17 “running away” from Baker U. (Yes, I went to college too young - that's another story) Thought I'd landed in heaven.
My kids and now grandchildren are Lawrence born and raised.
Since I arrived before I hit “legal” age AND I'm passing the legacy to my descendants I consider my self a townie.

Definitely not native born. Was born outside DC, our nation's armpit, uh, capital. I've lived all over the US and I think Lawrence has to be one of the best towns I've ever had the pleasure of residing in. It has a great mix of folks who seem to get along, for the most part, and the crime isn't too bad. The town is clean and pretty well taken care of and I always feel safe here. But then again, I've lived in Detroit, Philly and Wilmington. Talk about crapholes!

Glenda the good witch must be hovering above, because I have an internet connection for the first time in over a week.
Roe, my brain may look 90, but speak for yourself on that average age! I'm only feeling 72 this week.
Susie, yep. this one was born in the hallway at the old LMH.
Johns Novelty was always 'after' the sat afternoon movie for us. And I always felt it was someplace my mother wouldn't approve of, lol. And I always felt that the bars that were on that block back then were 'dirty bars'..like we, as young girls..were just slightly in a place we shouldn't be at. Like there were the kind of men hanging out just a few feet inside those dark interiors that were extremely unsavory men. I don't ever recall SEEING any men walking in or out of those bars at all during the times we were there.. downtown wasn't the busy bar place it is now. Who knows who, if anyone was actually IN there in the middle of a Saturday afternoon when kids were at the movies! The doors were often propped open. I remember darting my eyes there, but never being able to see into the darkness! Oooooh..the mystery..
Dave, this could go a whole new direction..where we discovered things.
I discovered Malt Vinegar as a kid at Arthur Treacher's.
Forcing myself off the High Board at Holiday Park Pool when the life guard was saying, 'You can't just stand there!” (I grew up to be really brave, but for a long time I was this really little girl..)
Candy bars in the freezer…also discovered at the Holiday Park Pool..I used to work in the concession stand. Cooking the cheese on the burger for the last minute on the grill…yep, there too, thanks to one customer…boss got ticked he was in there…still do that sometimes..it's awesome.
Oh…when you're sitting on a guy's shoulders in the pool with another girl…when you're playing tag? The way to win?
Is to reach over and undo the hook on her top really fast.
Sometimes, I would just come up with these brilliant ideas out of nowhere. Let's just say, she hit the water really fast, which was the point of the game, and everybody fell in hysterical laughter. It might have been one of our best days of the whole summer. Of course, you can only do this if you know the 'victim' is a friend that won't be scarred for life, and will still talk to you later! lol.
Henry's..I think I saw Barb walking by the post office a couple of weeks ago, is she still in town?
Sand man…they just did an article on him in the last couple of years..he was working at LMH, right? I won't say where he was living, someone can search for it. As for his having skin cancer..face it…most everyone over 30 most probably has precancerous cells, if not skin cancer, or some forming, and they just don't know it yet. Not kidding, BTDT myself, it just goes with being in the pool, playing in the sun, and being a Lawrence KS kid our age!

lol…I took OFF the new glasses..which by the way I'm going in to have a talk with them about..when you can't read the phone book or the back of a box at Walmart with your new glasses..among many other things..I think this isn't what I signed up for.
I see RCC had the links on there already!
The bathroom mirror by the urinals in Prestons…was still there when it was the 815 club in 2005. Can't say about the current status.
jazzttt…comment away. The more you remind them of with your comments, the more it will help prevent the onset of their Alzheimer's.

I realize this is a month and a half late (I don't visit here very often). But I simply must share my own memories.
My mom and I moved to California in '81. I was pretty young and only got to the Purple Pig a couple times.
Richard Write, however… Wow, I was amazed and pleased to her his name here! But I am saddened to hear of his passing.
I must have been about 6 years old. My parents had given me my very first house key the day before! I was so anxious to try it out! Home alone, I grabbed the key, ran around locking all the doors, and stepped outside. I put my gleaming new brass key in the lock and…it didn't work! Nobody had bothered to test this brand new key. I was locked out!
Lo, and behold! Up pulls this telephone repair truck into our driveway. It's my mom's friend (and really everyone's friend) Richard Wright! After trying each door with me, he grabs a short length of (likely 14gauge) wire from his truck, and in about 10 seconds has the chain off our back door and had me in safe and sound!
What kind of cosmic forces lead to Richard showing up just at that moment? Saving me from several hours of waiting on the porch for my parents to get home? Who knows?
One thing is for sure, knowing guys like Richard were involved in Abate of KS, left me never for a second regretting the hours and hours (and hours), sitting on the floor next to one or another dining room table filled with bikers, all of us filling and sealing and stamping Abate envelopes.
Can anyone here give any information on Richard's death? When, how, etc.?
Oh no! George's Hobby Shop is gone??
Reading all the things that are gone is so sad! And why is there a fence around the locomotive?? What the heck happened to Lawrence?

Follow-up…
The story I heard, was my neighbor, “Mr. Abby”, had once been a locomotive engineer, and was somehow involved in putting the locomotive in the park. So I take the fence especially personally.
Is there still ice skating right next to the locomotive in the winter?

Gonewest, I haven't seen ice skating next to the train in at least the last 3 years. Fenced up train is a drag too.

Only 1 grocery store,,,,only 1 gas station,,,,,only one place to buy a car,,,,,,no buses,,,,,1 taxi.,,,1 hotel.,,,1 motel.
Had my first and only beer at The Wheel,,,,hated it!
Opened my boutique,,,,,Gypsy Rags,,,,,,was friends with the people at Strawberry Fields.,,miss my store,,and them.
Never locked my doors,,,,,rode my bike to the park every day with my dogs.,,,my first pets.,,no-one was ever there.
Bicycle Annie was the most famous person in town.
My first job at a nightclub,,,,name??? owned by Joe,,,,famous bands were there every weekend.
Eating baked potatoes and corn at Mr. Steak every week,,,almost the only place to eat,,,,,no traffic.
My first “love-in” on the University lawn,,,,,people came from all over the U.S.
Just looked at the town on youtube,,,,not the same,,,it was a 2 block business area then.,,,,what happened?,,,,,have never been back,,,,,,will always miss my life there,,,,safe,,,,quiet,,,,and sweet.,,,gone forever!!!

I almost forgot!!!,,,twice a week all my dairy products were delivered to my back porch,,,and I was NEVER hasseled or pushed for the money,,,,even if I was late paying,,,,do they still do that? What a beautiful life I had,,,,gotta move back!!!!
