KU Crime Blotter: Feb. 27-March 5

The following incidents were reported to the University of Kansas Office of Public Safety between Monday, Feb. 27, and Sunday, March 5. Incidents are listed by date reported. This list may not include all crimes reported to police during the date range, as incidents occasionally are posted online longer than two days after being reported.

March 5

• Police found people in possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a fake ID about 10 p.m. March 5 at Jayhawker Towers, Tower C.

• Police found a minor in possession of liquor in a car about 8:45 p.m. March 5 on Irving Hill Road.

• Two people were seen trespassing, climbing the fence into Memorial Stadium, about 3:45 a.m. March 5.

March 4

• Criminal damage to property occurred March 3 or March 4 at Self Residence Hall. Someone carved a derogatroy phrase on a door. Damage was estimated at $50.

March 3

• Disorder occurred the afternoon of March 3 at Anschutz Library. Someone was making gestures and walking up to people, making them fearful of his actions.

March 2

• Police found someone sitting in a pickup in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, a grinder, about 11:45 p.m. March 2 at Lot 300, 1600 block Stewart Drive.

• Someone entered a room and stole another person’s cellphone March 1 at Oliver Residence Hall. The phone was later recovered but found to be damaged. Damage was estimated at $150.

• Someone spray painted a concrete bench March 13 at Wescoe Hall. Damage was estimated at $100.

• Someone stole a bicycle and lock Feb. 28 at the Kansas Union. Loss was valued at $889.

March 1

• Someone damaged three motorcycles by trying to pry their ignition switches Feb. 28 at Lot 111, 500 block West 11th Street.

• Someone cut a cable lock and stole a bicycle March 1 at Wescoe Hall. Loss was valued at $300. Damage was estimated at $12.

Feb. 28

• Police found someone in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in their room about 8:30 p.m. Feb. 28 at Hashinger Residence Hall.

• Someone cut a bike lock and stole a bicycle and helmet Feb. 28 at Budig Hall. Loss was valued at $2,170.

Feb. 27

• During a consent search, police found a minor in possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, alcoholic beverages and a fake driver’s license about 5:45 p.m. Feb. 27 at GSP Residence Hall.

• Someone cut a lock and stole a bicycle Feb. 27 at Marvin Hall.
