KU Crime Blotter: April 3-9

The following incidents were reported to the University of Kansas Office of Public Safety between Monday, April 3, and Sunday, April 9. Incidents are listed by date reported. This list may not include all crimes reported to police during the date range, as incidents occasionally are posted online longer than two days after being reported.

April 9

• Trespassing occurred about 1 a.m. April 9 at Memorial Stadium. Multiple people entered the stadium while it was closed and took pictures of themselves.

April 8

• A minor was found in possession of alcohol, LSD and a fake driver’s license about 11:15 p.m. April 8 at Oswald Residence Hall.

• During a routine traffic stop for a stop sign violation, a person was found in possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a fake driver’s license about 5:30 p.m. April 8 at Sunflower Road and Sunnyside Avenue.

• Trespassing occurred about 1:10 a.m. April 8 at Lippincott Hall. People climbed onto the roof.

April 6

• Theft occurred between March 31 and April 4 at the Kansas Union. Someone took a bank card from an envelope without the owner’s permission. Loss was valued at $1.

• Someone took items from a vehicle without the owner’s permission April 5 at Lot 90, 1800 block Naismith Drive. Loss was valued at $295.

• Trespassing occurred about 7 p.m. April 5 at the Dole Institute of Politics.

April 4

• Someone used a trailer ball hitch to break out a window on a vehicle, then stole a purse from inside, April 3 or April 4 at Lot 15, 1500 block Lilac Lane. Loss was valued at $200. Damage was estimated at $300.

April 3

• Indecent exposure occurred about 3 p.m. April 3 at Chalmers Hall. A man exposed himself to a woman and began masturbating. (See related story here.)
