KU ranks among top 50 sexually healthy schools

It may not be the U.S. News & World Report college rankings, but Kansas University got a top 50 spot in another recent list of colleges and universities.The university earned a 48th-best ranking on the 2008 Trojan Sexual Health Report Card. The ranking took into account 13 factors ranging from availability of contraceptives to the availability of outreach and sexual assault programs at the schools.Stanford University topped the list, but KU ranked fourth among its Big 12 Conference brethren, only behind the University of Texas, the University of Nebraska and the University of Colorado.Texas ranked 16th on the list (the “University of Texas” shown on the Report Card in 93rd place should read “University of Texas-Pan American”), leading the Big 12 schools. Baylor University ranked last among the conference schools, earning a 134th place rank of 139 schools.
