Calling all sci-fi buffs, $1 paperbacks

Just in case the first time wasn’t enough all you sci-fi bibliophiles get another chance to snatch up some science fiction goodness.KU Libraries is hosting another book sale to help clear out some of the collection efforts of James Gunn, director of the Center for the Study of Science Fiction.About 4,000 books will be on sale, hardbacks priced at $3, paperbacks at $1.Good news for KU students, faculty and staff. You get first dibs Sept. 9. The sale then opens to the public Sept. 10-11.KU librarian Lea Currie said that while the first sale was in conjunction with a writers conference, this one gives the KU community a crack at some science fiction literature.The sale will be from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sept. 9 -11 on the third floor of Watson Library.
