Dental clinic to offer free care for low-income, uninsured residents
Douglas County Dental Clinic will be offering free dental care on Friday, Sept. 25, for 60 low-income Douglas County residents who don’t have health insurance.
The event will be on a first-come, first-served basis, and screenings will be begin at 6:30 a.m. at the clinic, 316 Maine.
The clinic has volunteers who will provide examinations, cleanings, fillings and extractions.
Participants must be at or below 200 percent of federal poverty level. For a household of four, that would be $44,099 per year or $3,674 per month.

I bet the line is going to be long. But it is a very nice thing they are doing for people. If you do not have dental insurance, it is almost impossible to pay for the exam and cleaning much less if you need any thing done. When I did have insurance it was still pretty hard to afford the extra things that needed done.

Good Idea , poor implementation , why not allow these folks some dignity by setting up appointments instead of having them line up at dawn.
